Just days ahead of its global launch on June 27, the first information about the Honor 9’s pricing has appeared on Amazon. In the UK, the device will be offered for £379.99, around $483. And in Italy, the price is listed at 439.81 EUR.
Our sources close to Honor in Europe say the official European price will be 449 EUR, which is realistic given that the price in Finland is estimated at around 499 EUR. While our sources are trustworthy, we reached out to Honor Germany for confirmation. Franko Fischer, press officer for Honor Germany, could neither confirm nor deny the pricing from our source or from Amazon, but he offered this comment:
"All pricing and availability information on the Honor 9 will
be announced on June 27 at the global launch event with our CEO, George Zhao."
Honor 9: global presentation on June 27
The fact that Honor chose to present the Honor 9 first in China, and then later to the rest of the world, isn’t unusual. The launch of the Honor 8 was done this way as well, but then it took two months to appear in Europe – this time, we only have to wait two weeks.
Honor has invited us to attend the global presentation of the Honor 9 on June 27 in Berlin. There will be no major changes to the specs of the Chinese Honor 9 model, but it will be interesting to see which of the three memory combinations Honor brings to the rest of the world.
Honor 9: technical specs and design
With the presentation of the Honor 9 in China, the technical specs of the device have been made available. The headphone jack is intact, in case you were wondering. There is no optical image stabilization, but it has a dual camera with a 20 MP black and white sensor and a 12 MP color sensor.

The Honor 8 and Honor 8 Pro have garnered a consistently positive response from our editorial team. It is, therefore, not a surprise that there haven’t been drastic changes to the design. The fingerprint scanner on the front, and new dual camera on the back, are the most noticeable changes.
Unfortunately, the listing on VMall doesn’t reveal whether the Honor 9 will have IP68 certification against water and dust. Like its predecessor, the battery will be non-removable.
